The National Academy of Computer Training and Research (NECTAR), Bogra (formerly Natrams), is a statutory institute for computer training and research under the Ministry of Education. In 1974, Notrams was established as the “National Academy of Multilingual Shorthand Training and Research” for the development, training, and research of secretarial sciences in the country. Later, with the aim of developing technology and creating skilled manpower through computer training in the light of the demands of the age, the government established the National Academy of Computer Training and Research by abolishing the past tense “Natrams” by Act No. 12 in the Bangladesh Parliament in 2005.
